Announcing an exciting new pilot program under HHFDC called DURF Equity Program (DEP) for affordable buyers currently working within the healthcare, education, law enforcement or agricultural field worker industries. The DEP program is a deferred loan program that effectively lowers the developers purchase price, i.e., $627,700 by the HHFDC purchased equity amount of $103,300 resulting in a new purchase price of $524,400. Applicants must also meet all HHFDC eligibility and household income requirements with units subject to HHFDC’s Use, Sales and Transfer (Buyback) Restriction and Shared Appreciation Equity (SAE) Program restrictions. “Eligible purchasers” will have quick access to Honolulu’s most storied neighborhoods, including Kapahulu, Kaimuki, and Diamond Head.
